Prisoner Jailor Prime Minister is a debut launch by Tabrik C. The book has been written after well done research and good imagination.  The storyline is fabulous and continuity maintained throughout is worth appreciation.

The intrinsic and instinctive touch in the cover connects well with the title and story line. I loved the color and the light diffusing through the branches on the road and the man walking down is very intriguing; who is this man, what is this book about?

The title forces you and grips your attention to know its exact meaning. A single person becomes all the three in his lifetime Prisoner Jailor Prime Minister.

There is a complex character built prominently for each of the characters in mainstream of the story of Prisoner Jailor Prime Minister. Few of the characters remain for long, hence avoiding confusion.

There are 2 sections and total 79 chapters in the book. Each chapter is edgy, racy, engrossing and intriguing. The author weaves a scene high in impact and imagination. What you expect happens but leads you to places you didn’t imagine!

Story is etched out with many twists and turns, each chapter’s title being relevant. Not to forget the mention of the dates and locations gives a realistic feel. The flow from the protagonist’s past to the present and again to past is smooth.

The second half has a solid plot and the story moves fast. The plot thickens at the end and the climax is clear and good enough. A new age romance with a mix of many elements such as thrill, politics, mystery, corruption, near disturbing future and dreams! A good attempt altogether, perfectly launched during election period!

The book is not just a piece of fiction; it is a reflection of the highly perplexing and murky Indian political scenario where corruption reigns supreme. Though at some places, the story could have been more practical.

Narration is very fresh and appealing. At no point the book compromises on reader’s curiosity to dwell further. It is worth a read!

She Looked Most Beautiful!

Her close family and friends dressed her up in pink and gold. The gold earrings gently dangled on either side of her soft face. The pink lehenga hugged her slim figure perfectly.

She conveyed to me, ‘I’m getting nervous, yaar. The time to leave is coming near.’  I tried to calm her anxious nerves.

Today was the day she was getting married. She had to start a new journey and had to travel an unknown path that she had never traversed before. 

She was deaf to the noise, the hustle bustle and the chaos that was surrounding her.  She sat in her room, ready to leave any minute to take her vows.

Sitting in her room, she stared outside through the window and she could see the leaves swaying to the gentle breeze. Strange thoughts flashed through her mind. As the gentle breeze gushed into her room through the window and brushed her tender face, she felt a calm and peace within.

It was time to leave. While she arose and gracefully walked to begin her new journey, she looked most beautiful!

Book Review #3 : Baramulla Bomber

The book Baramulla Bomber by Clark Prasad was sent to me by Write Tribe and I can’t thank them and Suraj Clark enough for sending this amazing book to me (not to forget, all gift wrapped)!

Anyways the book impressed me in the first look itself. I have to say its cover design is awesome.

Baramulla Bomber by debutant author Clark Prasad (Suraj Prasad) is a marvelous fast paced thriller that you are compelled to read on. It is a heady mix of espionage, cricket, mythology and science.

It inspires hope, creates nostalgia for an ancient Indian knowledge and prowess, and entertains as we follow Mansur Haider, Samir, Adol Silfverskiold, Aahana Yajurvedi, Agastya Rathode and others on their journey to stop an ancient weapon from destructing the world.

The book is well researched and the writing is intelligent and comprehensive. Though the concepts in quantum physics, religion and mythology are chosen, it is not difficult to comprehend. It makes you wonder what will happen next in the three book series! Definitely thumbs up for Clark Prasad for writing the kind of riveting espionage thriller. So much in a debut novel!

The book is fast paced and keeps on the edge of your seat till the very end. Character sketches are perfect thriller and every character is well used. The story explores intelligence agencies other than the much explored CIA, and yet does complete justice to it.

Its storyline covers the events from 16th July 1945 to the present day. It covers politics, science, cricket and mythology while establishing a balance between every topic so that no single topic seems to take over the other parts of the novel. Every detail used is specific and full explanation of events is given so that nothing seems to be exaggerated. Chronological manner of linking the events is amazing! Never goes off track. Sometimes it all leads to some confusion. There are so many events, so many characters!

Book Review #2 : Supertraits of Superstars

This book is highly inspiring. The language is simple. The book is well structured as well. A self help book, Bollywood style! The caricatures at the beginning of each chapter are to some point not relevant. Especially Vidya Balan’s!

But the colorful background design of the cover is an eye catcher. Priyanka Jha's 'Supertraits of Superstars' cites examples of eleven superstars and focuses on one (or the most vital) of their many traits which has helped them to become what they are today.

An actor's life is never easy. It's not as glamorous or colorful as we think. With such glamour it is easy to get carried away. Priyanka lists interesting incidents and intelligent decisions which these eleven stars have made in their life which acted as turning-points in their career.

Priyanka doesn't even make an attempt to tell you what to do or what not to do with your life. The book doesn’t preach! She just makes you ponder on the immense possibilities which life throws at you. Her casual approach and easy to read writing style ensures that the reader is not bored at any point of time. The book also gives insight into some of the lesser known aspect of these stars. 

The style of writing is really awesome and admirable. Nowhere in any page will you feel bored while reading. It is a light read, yet manages to motivate and inspire and do some thought provoking.
