You spend time
with them whether it’s in person or not. They soon become a part of your
everyday life and you get used to it… Then all of a sudden, they leave.
Most of the time
once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Meaning, no more late night calls, no
more cute text messages (actually no texts at all), no more 'I love you'..
The first few
days you will want to call, text, send them an ask, really do everything just
to talk to them and restore what’s “normal”. But, as much as you try, things
don’t change.
The hardest part
is letting go.
You check their Facebook often just to see what they’re doing and also to see if they have
someone new.
This person that
was once your everything is now just a memory. A memory that you replay over
and over again in your head.
You spend nights
reminiscing in the said words, shared laughs, the kisses, all the good things
that went on during the time you two were together.
so, this will be big and fat because i love you and i love love and i love your insight into love and even though this post is about letting go, the love in it is too lovely to let go ;)
ReplyDeletethe beautiful part of this post is even though you are talking of letting go, it takes you through some of your best memories... people will recall the morning texts they had received and the good night notes and all the beautiful poetry they have lived.. this is what makes even letting go so full of love..
you nailed it saying that they end up being memories but the memories cannot be taken away by anyone and sometimes, memories give you the love that last a lifetime.
i love you, you already know that, but this post just justifies the title of your blog brilliantly.
you are an inspirational romance writer by all means.., brilliantly done... i will never let go of the memories we've made and the ones we're sure to make.. you're a precious gem to have and very beautiful too...
SHINE FOREVER SUNSHINE :* :*
Now this is what I call a 'big fat' comment! :P :D
DeleteI love you back, Shruti! *hugs*
I loved how you took this post and your perspective about it! Even I didn't plan to put so much love into it, that your comment has!
Thank you so much for you awesomely kind words! :)
You're priceless, I hope I meet you in person some day. :)
You brought memories back. I tried letting go and then all the memories and times I had came flashing by just the way you mentioned. But the memories could not fade away.
ReplyDeleteYour last statement and the first contradict, Red. They had faded. This post just brought them back. :)
DeleteThank you, Vishal :)
ReplyDeleteTruly said, indeed.
Reading your post! :)
Very true, Ayesha.
ReplyDeleteLetting go is tough. But, then, we must be ready to welcome change...
